Location
The conference will take place at the University of Stuttgart (Vaihingen campus) from Monday, September 30th to Wednesday, October 2nd. The venue will be at Pfaffenwaldring 47, lecture hall 47.03. Since parking at the Vaihingen campus is rather limited, we encourage the participants to use public transportation.
Travel information
By train: Use any train to Stuttgart Hbf (good luck). From the upper platforms, there will be a 10 minute walk to the lower platforms, where you find the S-Bahn. Take either S-Bahn S1 to Böblingen/Herrenberg, S2 to Vaihingen/Filderstadt or S3 to Vaihingen/Flughafen. Exit at the "Universität" station and use the stairs/escalators closest to the rear of the train. There are three flights of stairs/escalators (for the third one use the flight, which also is equipped with an escalator) and if you are in the middle of the campus just follow the signs.
By car: Use the exit "Kreuz Stuttgart" on Autobahn A8 and follow the signs "A831 Stuttgart S-Vaihingen". After 2-3 km there is the "Johannesgrabentunnel" and a sharp curve to the left, after which a new lane amerges at the right. Switch to that lane and take the next exit to "Universität". At the end of the exit, turn left at the traffic lights and then find a parking spot anywhere on the premises (good luck). Make your way to the campus and then follow the signs.
By plane: If you are arriving at Stuttgart airport, take the S-Bahn S2 to Schorndorf of S3 to Backnang and exit at the "Universität" station. Use the stairs/escalators closest to the front of the train. There are three flights of stairs/escalators (for the third one use the flight, which also is equipped with an escalator) and if you are in the middle of the campus just follow the signs.
Hotels
There is a limited number of hotels in Stuttgart-Vaihingen (reminder: Stuttgart-Vaihingen is NOT Vaihingen/Enz) and more hotels in downtown Stuttgart. From there you need the S-Bahn to get to the university campus in Vaihingen (see travel information by train).
